How quickly can I complete the program?
The great thing about taking an online defensive driving course for Alaska is that you can work at your own pace. Although our class is designed to be an eight hour program to comply with state requirements, you have the ability to take as much or as little time as you need to complete our course. We understand that everyone reads at different speeds, so take an online course that accommodates you!
How long does it take to receive the certificate?
Once graduated from our course, we send your completion certificate to two places: one to the Alaska DMV and one to you. The certificate that gets delivered to the DMV will be sent within a 24 hour period. This will be the copy that will need to be taken to the court.
How much does the course cost?

How can I make payment for the program?
From start to finish we make the process of taking defensive driving as easy as can be. This includes the payment. You can pay for the course online by credit or debit card.
What if my deadline to complete defensive driving has passed?
If your completion due date has surpassed, you must contact the courthouse who issued your citation or the Alaska DMV, depending on the reason you are taking the course. At the DMV or the courthouse, you will be able to obtain an extension for the course. No defensive driving program can offer extension dates.

Can I use different computers?
Definitely! Because our program allows you to log off and on to best fit your schedule, you may also take the course from different computers, laptops, or other web-enabled devices. All you need to do is go to our Log In and you can do the course from anywhere Internet is available!
Do I need to complete the defensive driving course all at once?
Not at all! Because our program is done online, you are able to log off and on at any time of the day or night. When you are at a good stopping point or have other business to attend to, simply sign out of our course or exit out of your Internet browser. Once you are ready to start again, return to our website and Log In with your existing username and password. Our online course is always available.
I've already enrolled, but I need to log back in. What should I do?
If you are ready to continue your course, simply Log Back In with your username and password that were created at the time of enrollment. Once you type in your login information, you will be able to continue your course from the point you left off at.
What if I can't remember my username or password?
If you are already registered for our course but can't remember your log in information, you can Contact us for help.
I was in the middle of a section and my Internet service cut out. What can I do?
Because our system saves all the progress you make throughout the course, all you need to do is Log Back In with your username and password. After you sign in, you'll have the ability to continue from the chapter where you were logged out.
Are there any special computer requirements for the course?
Not at all! The general rule is that if you can see the text on this page, your web-enabled device will be compatible with our program!
Can I take the entire program from home or do I need to attend a test site?
Most all of your program can be completed from the comforts of your own home. However, as a state requirement, you will need to take your final examination from a testing facility. You are able to go during an extended period of hours and you may pick the time you go; you don't even have to give notice to the testing location! We have many locations you can choose from.
What happens if I fail the final?
If you do not pass the final the first time, you can retake it right away! You won't have to pay any extra fee and you won't be penalized.
Can CDL holders take the course?
In the State of Alaska, drivers with a CDL license are able to take the course. However, it is a bit more complicated than those with a standard driver's license. Please visit our Homepage for more information.
How often can you take a defensive driving course in Alaska?
For a point reduction, you may take the course once every 12 months. If you are doing this for a courthouse, you may take the course as many times as the judge grants you permission.
